February 20 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm MST
Event Cost: 40.00$
Wednesday, February 20th @ The Denver Athletic Club (1325 Glenarm)
Speaker: Joe Icenogle
Topic: National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA for the Landman)
Check in starts at 11:15am
Landmen are charged with obtaining rights to explore and develop oil and gas resources. Access to federal lands is crucial to develop federally administered oil and gas resources. That access is dependent on compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and the successful completion of the NEPA analysis that federal agencies (e.g. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and United States Forest Service (USFS)) are required to do prior to permit approval. The purpose of this presentation is to provide guidance to landmen in managing the NEPA process and to understand the related laws, procedures, and external influences that may affect access to federally administered lands.
